A formal complaint has been lodged with the US International Trade Commission, detailing 22 manufacturers, importers and sellers of replacement tyres for both the passenger and light truck segments.
The paperwork issued by Toyo Tire Holdings of America, the producers of the Toyo and Nitto brands, claims that eight design patents of the Tyre giant have been infringed on and as a result they are seeking an exclusion order preventing entry and sales into the US by those named within their complaint.
Toyo has also lodged a cease-and-desist order, to ban the sale of any products that are already within US borders.
